Rabat – After their disappointing opening match against the Democratic Republic of Congo last Monday, Moroccoa’s football team coach, Herv Renard and his players have a chance to qualify for the second round, since they won 3-1 against Togo last Friday.
Tuesday, Morocco has a decisive match against the title holder of CAN2015, Ivory Coast, who in 2015 had Herv Renard as a coach.
Ivory Coast didna’t do better than two draws for the first games in the competition. The only chance for the Ivoirians to be qualified is to win against Morocco. In case of a tie the Lions will automatically qualify and the Elephants will be eliminated from the Can 2017.
After two years spent as the Ivory Coast coach (2014-2015), Renard and Morocco are hoping to eliminate the Elephants.
For the Ivorian supporters, Renard is not just a football coach, he’s a magician. He first won the CAN2012 with Zambia, then with with Ivory Coast in 2015. His overall goal in this current tournament is to reach the second round.
